The Parsippany Police Department is enlisting aid of the community to play a significant role to end Domestic Violence. Volunteers are needed to assist officers by providing support for victims and their families through effective intervention immediately following a domestic violence incident. Our officers cannot do it alone and we need your involvement. Please consider joining our efforts to make the community safer for all.
Crisis Response Team members will meet victims at Parsippany Headquarters to:
1. Explain the Domestic Violence Act and its components.
2. Identify the social services that can assist the victim.
3. Refer them to Jersey Battered Women’s Services.
4. Assist the victims to seek protective shelter.
5. Explain the dynamics of domestic violence.
6. Provide emotional support.
